Wipe patterns vary widely among these servers. Some reset every few hours, so treat each visit as a fresh start. Others hold a map until the owner wipes it or the force wipe arrives. The Last wipe and Next wipe columns tell you which is which. Population on build servers tends to fall more slowly than on main servers. That means you are more likely to find someone to review your design a day or two after a wipe. If you want company, sort by players. If you want quiet, look further down the list.

Enquiry 01What is a build server in Rust?

A build server gives you free resources, instant crafting and often creative tools so you can design and test bases without gathering or risking a raid. Many players use them to plan a footprint or check a bunker before building on a live server.

Enquiry 02Do build servers wipe?

Some reset their world every few hours, clearing whatever you have built. Others keep the same map until the owner decides to wipe or the monthly force wipe occurs. Check the Last wipe and Next wipe columns for each entry.

Enquiry 03Why are build servers listed as modded?

Because free resources, instant building and noclip change the game, Facepunch requires servers that offer them to declare themselves modded. A build server in the modded category is not a cheat server; it is simply the correct label for a server with altered rules.

Enquiry 04How often is the server data updated?

Player counts and server details are refreshed every five minutes. The timestamp at the top of the table shows when the data was last checked.

The table is sorted by current players by default. You can re-sort by next wipe to see which servers will reset soonest. Search matches names and addresses only. Typing 'EU' finds servers with EU in their name, not every server hosted in Europe. For filters by region, group limit and wipe schedule, use the server list. The index currently holds 331 servers. Not all have players online at any given moment, so check the live count before you join.
