This page sets out what Rust Server Index records when you visit, and what it does not. It is filed under the reference pages.
What we hold about visitors
Rust Server Index has no accounts and asks you for nothing to read it. Like any web server, ours writes ordinary access logs: your IP address, the page you requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. Those logs are kept for a short period to keep the site serving pages and to see which entries are read. They are not used to identify you.
Your browser's own storage
Your theme choice, light or dark, is kept in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Cloudflare
Every request to rustserverindex.org passes through Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. Cloudflare sees visitors' IP addresses and may set a security cookie of its own when it checks for automated traffic. That cookie belongs to Cloudflare. See also our terms of use.
Fonts and flags
The fonts on this site are served from this site. The force wipe countdown page shows country flags fetched from jsDelivr, a public code host: when your browser requests that file, jsDelivr receives your IP address and browser details. No Google service runs here.
Cookies and analytics
We set no cookies of our own. There is no analytics script and no advertising tracker on the site. We do not compile a profile of visitors, and we do not sell or share visitor data, because we hold none to sell.
Server data
Everything listed about Rust servers comes from what those servers publish to the public server list and from direct queries they answer: names, addresses, player counts, settings, descriptions and images. None of it concerns individual players. Player counts are totals, not names of who is online. Filed under the server index.
