Region

The lists are grouped as the quick links are: by play style, group size, gather rate and region. A server can appear on several lists at once, which is normal: a 2x EU trio server is filed under 2x, EU and trio. No list is paid for; positions come from live player counts read from Steam's public server list. If a placement is ever sold, it will be marked sponsored and kept apart from the ranking.

Enquiries desk

Questions

4 enquiries on file, answered by the catalogue.

Enquiry 01How often are the lists and their counts updated?

Every five minutes, from Steam's public server list. The count on each entry is the number of servers that match that list's rule at the time shown. The three busiest servers are ordered by current players. If you reload the page, you may see a different top three.

Enquiry 02What does 'three busiest' mean on each entry?

It is the three servers on that list with the highest live player count right now. This changes through the day, especially across regions. The full list page shows the complete ranking with more detail, including wipe dates and settings.

Enquiry 03Can a server be on more than one list?

Yes. A server is filed under every list whose rule it matches, based on its name, tags and published settings. For example, a vanilla EU server with a duo limit appears on the vanilla, EU and duo lists. That is why the counts across lists do not add up to the total number of servers.

Enquiry 04Are these lists paid for?

No. Positions are based on live player counts and nothing else. If a placement is ever sold, it will be labelled as sponsored and kept separate from the ranking. The ranking method is the same on every list.
