Scope note · about this list

This index lists public Rust servers whose gather rate is 5x. Each entry shows the current player count, the last wipe and the next wipe where published, the group limit and the rank for the past seven days. The table is refreshed every five minutes. Sort by Players to see which 5x servers are busiest now, or by Next wipe to plan a start.

Cataloguer's note · worth knowing

A note on what is filed here. A server appears if it reports a 5x gather rate or carries 5x in its name. Some servers run five-times rates under a different label, so cross-check the entry's settings. The rank column covers the last seven days, not the current minute, so a high rank can sit beside a low live count. Most 5x servers are in the Modded tab; Facepunch requires raised gather rates to be listed that way. See also the 2x list for a slower pace and the 10x list for a faster one.

Enquiries desk

Questions

4 enquiries on file, answered by the catalogue.

Enquiry 01What does a 5x gather rate change?

A 5x rate multiplies the resources you get from nodes, trees and other sources by five. A server with this rate is usually listed as modded. Check each entry's settings for other changes, such as kits or faster crafting.

Enquiry 02How often is this list updated?

The table is refreshed every five minutes. The last checked time is shown above the table. Player counts and wipe dates change, so sort again if you have left the page open.

Enquiry 03Why does a server's rank not match its player count?

Rank is based on the past seven days, while the player count is live. A server can rank high from earlier in the week and be quiet now, or the reverse. Use the Players column for the current picture.

Enquiry 04Are all 5x servers modded?

Almost all are in the Modded tab, because Facepunch requires raised gather rates to be listed as modded. A 5x server outside that tab is unusual. The entry's settings show the reported rate.

Further reading · more about these servers

Reading the table. The name and address column gives the server's exact address; open an entry for its full record, including wipe schedule and settings. The Players column is the live count at the last check. The Rank column is a seven-day measure, so it can differ from the current count. The Next wipe column shows the owner's published date where there is one; where it is blank, the server has not published a schedule and you should check its own listing. For a wider view, the full server list covers every public server. The wipe schedule page explains the monthly force wipe and how to read countdowns. If you are new to the game, servers for new players is a better starting point than a 5x server.
