These terms set out what you can expect when you use Rust Server Index at rustserverindex.org.
The index is provided as it is. Server entries are read every five minutes from Steam's public Rust server list and from the servers themselves. We aim for accuracy, but a server can report a wipe late, publish a name that does not match its contents, or show a player count that has already changed. Treat every entry as a snapshot and not a guarantee. See also the live player count and the server list for what is monitored.
Browsing. You can use the site without an account or payment. Please avoid rapid automated requests; they slow the index for other readers. If you need a bulk copy of the data, write to hello@rustserverindex.org and we will discuss it.
Crawlers and AI tools. Search engines, bots and AI crawlers are welcome. Read robots.txt and llms.txt first; they set out what is where. Keep your request rate modest so that human visitors still get fast pages.
Server owners. Your server is listed because it appears on the public list. Everything on its entry is taken from what the server publishes: name, tags, wipe times and player slots. To change what the index shows, change it on the server. Most edits are picked up within five minutes.
Independence. Rust Server Index is not connected with Facepunch Studios. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios.
