If the servers are up but your game is not
- Restart Steam, then Rust. The in-game browser is served by Steam, and a stale session can show an empty list.
- Clear your server browser filters. An old region or tag filter hides servers that are running.
- Check Steam's own status. When Steam is down, our counts usually fall too, so compare the two.
- On force wipe day, update Rust before you retry. See the force wipe countdown.
- Turn off a VPN or strict firewall for a moment; both can block the traffic the browser needs.
If only one server is missing, the problem is local to that server. Find its entry in the server list and check when it was last seen.

The verdict at the top of this page is live. We read the full public server list every five minutes and compare the current count with the usual count for this hour. At 85% of normal or above, the servers are classed as up; below half, as an outage.
Enquiry 02Why does Rust show no servers when this page says they are up?
Then the fault is usually on your side or with Steam. Restart Steam and Rust, clear your server browser filters, and check whether Steam is down. On force wipe day, update the game before retrying, since servers restart one by one.
Enquiry 03How current is the server status on this page?
The time under the verdict shows when the list was last read, normally within six minutes. If the reading is more than twenty-five minutes old, the page states that it is behind rather than giving a verdict on old numbers.
