Scope note · about this list

This shelf holds every Rust server whose name says it welcomes new players: noob, beginner, newbie, new player, newcomer, learning or starter. A name is a claim, not a record, so read each server's own rules before you commit. 488 entries match right now; the table refreshes every five minutes.

Cataloguer's note · worth knowing

Worth knowing before you choose. A low group limit and a regular wipe schedule teach you more than a friendly name does. Check the Group column: solo, duo or trio caps keep clans out, while the default of 8 does not. Check Last wipe and Next wipe too, because a server that wiped an hour ago is crowded and one due to wipe tomorrow is not worth your base. Gather rates appear in some names; where none is stated, assume vanilla. Filed under: new players. See also: the full index, servers just wiped.

Questions

4 enquiries on file, answered by the catalogue.

Enquiry 01How do I find a Rust server for beginners?

Filter the index by words in the server name: noob, beginner, newbie, new player, newcomer, learning or starter. Then narrow by region and group limit using the search box. Read the server's own rules before you join, because the name is set by the owner and is not checked by us.

Enquiry 02Are beginner Rust servers actually easier?

Sometimes. Some owners add spawn protection, lower upkeep or rules against killing new players; others use the word only to attract traffic. The index lists the name and the published settings, not a verdict. Open an entry to see its current population and its own rules before you rely on them.

Enquiry 03Should a new player pick a low group limit?

A solo, duo or trio cap keeps large clans off the map, which gives you room to learn building and fighting. Check the Group column on each entry. If it is blank, the server is likely uncapped and you should expect larger groups.

Enquiry 04When is the best time to join a beginner server?

Just after a wipe, when the map is fresh and everyone starts with the same gear. The Next wipe column shows when that happens; servers just wiped are listed separately. Joining minutes before a wipe wastes the base you build, so check both columns first.

The table lists matches busiest first. Narrow it with the filters above, or type a word in the search box: 'EU' or 'US' for your region, 'solo' or 'duo' for a group cap, 'weekly' for wipe rhythm. Every entry links to a server page at its real address, which carries the current player count, settings and the last time the data was checked.

If you would rather read a shorter shelf, start with Rust servers for new players as a shortlist, then PvE servers if you want to learn without being shot, or solo servers for the lowest pressure. Vanilla servers keep the rules you will meet on official ones.
